Well, I ended up getting it yesterday. Along with Owen, getting it for the second time. Thankfully, Ryan stayed home from work yesterday to help me. And I'm also thankful that I'm feeling ALOT better today! This flu is just SOOOO wicked. That's all I can say about it. It went through our family of five in just 3 days, and now I'm thinking Chloe may have it again. She keeps running to the bathroom to puke, but nothing. Luckily, we have a snow day for school today, so she didn't have to miss the Valentine's Party.
Hopefully my next post will be a little bit better news! :)

Update...
Chloe got it. Since about 4:00 this afternoon she's been throwing up. She's in bed now, so hopefully she's past the bad part and I won't be up again all night.
Pardon my french, but THIS SUCKS!!!!

A weekend of sickness, and a trip to the E.R.
Well, this post was going to be one of updates and cute pictures, but I'll have to save that for a later post.
This weekend was such a long weekend. Saturday night, Brett got the flu. We were up pretty much all night with him. Throwing up, changing sheets, in the tub, throwing up, changing sheets, in the tub. By morning, I had run out of blankets to give him, so I was doing laundry at about 5:00a.m. About 1:00a.m. though, Owen got it. Owen, wasn't too bad, he only woke up a couple of times, but I was really worried about Brett. Absolutely everything I gave him, he vomited ~ even Pedialyte. At about 3:30, he told me he was so thirsty, so I went and got him a cup of water. 10 minutes later, he puked that up. This went on all night. Finally about 7:00, I called my doctor. I was really concerned about him getting dehydrated. She called me back a bit later, and asked me how many times he had vomited in the last 15 hours (that's how long it had been going on by this time.) I told her 10-15, but probably more like 15. She told me to get to the E.R., because he needed IV fluids.
So, I prayed the whole way to the hospital that he wouldn't puke in the car. He didn't!! We got there, and we were the only ones there, so they took us in right away. The doctor came in right away, and he said that he was happy, because Brett still had tears and snot! A sign that he didn't have severe dehydration. Just as we were getting him hooked up to the IV, Ryan's parents walked in! I was so relieved to see someone I knew. I knew that Brett was going to be fine, but it's just reassuring for someone else to be there with you! Thanks guys! :) Anyway, he did really good with the IV going in, but he wanted it out so bad! We finally got a urine sample, and it said that their were keytones in it that showed dehydration. We already had the IV fluids going, so that's what they would've done anyway.
To make a long story short, we got out of there about 2:30p.m. He appears to be doing just fine this morning. He's eating a banana as I'm typing this, and he hasn't thrown up since yesterday! Owen is doing a lot better too! For a while I was thinking I was going to have to take him in too, but I think he'll be o.k.
And now, Ryan has it! He woke up about 4:00a.m. with it. This wicked thing spreads so fast!! I'm just praying that Chloe and I don't get it!!

Bye bye patchie... :(

I'm not sure if this is more sad for me, or more sad for Brett, but we said goodbye to the patchie tonight. Chloe went to the dentist today, and Ryan asked her if the boys should get rid of their patchies. She said by the time they were 2 they should be done with them. So, you know what that means...
He did pretty good at bedtime. I don't think he's quite asleep yet, but he's playing with a couple of toys in bed. We don't normally allow that, but considering the circumstances, we had to submit to that, otherwise Owen wouldn't fall asleep.
I took a picture of him crying hysterically for his patchie, but I can't load it now. I'll post it later ~ it's pretty cute, in a sad sort of way! :) Wish me luck, hopefully we have an uneventful night. I'll keep you posted!
A little trip down memory lane...Oh how "I'll" miss that patchie, but it's going to be so much easier not having to track it down everywhere we are.

Let it snow...Let it snow...Let it snow!!!
O.K. ~ so not too bad ~ not even a week since my last post! These pictures are about a week old, but that's o.k.! :)
It FINALLY snowed here, and the kids were SO excited to play outside. We only got a little less than an inch, but it made them happy to play in it!!

All dressed up and ready to go!!

This was Chloe's first time making a snow angel!

Brett's too, but I can't help but think ~ "Ralphie, I can't get up!!" :)

And this was their "snow slide."
A couple of Sunday's ago, we went to Ryan's mom and dad's house, and it was snowing then too, so we sent the kids out to play there, and they had a blast!!

And because Owen wasn't in any of those pictures, I couldn't leave him out, so I'll leave you with this one...this is on Christmas Eve, taking some of his "first steps!" He's cruisin' now though! :)

Here we go again...
It seems as though my posts have become "quick updates." Thanks to Candi for reminding me that it's been another month! :)
Anyway, here's my quick update...
Christmas was GREAT ~ BUSY, but Great!! The day after Christmas we went to Wisconsin Dells, so here's a few pictures from that adventure...

Here's Brett and Tim watching T.V. in our Condo.

Here's Chloe posing once again. She never seems to miss the opportunity.

Here's Chloe and Ellie playing at the kiddie area. (Notice the beaver behind them.)

Here's Chloe the following day. Crying after she fell off the beaver and scraped up her knees.

Here's my little mohawk boy!

You couldn't get Brett out of the water. He absolutely loved it ~ even the adult rides!!

And Owen never misses the opportunity to take a nap. Didn't matter where we were, if he was tired, he was gonna sleep. Made for an easy trip, because we didn't have to stay in the room much for them to take naps!
The day after we got home from the Dells, we went to my dad's house in PA. Another 6 hours of driving. Ugghhhhhh!! It wasn't too bad though. The kids were just awesome! I didn't get many pictures from there, but I managed to capture a couple...

My dad had this awesome go-kart. Melanie and Ryan couldn't get enough of it. They'd come inside with grass in their teeth, and mud in their hair,(LITERALLY) and they still went out for more!

Any excuse for Melanie to drive the go-kart. Here she's taking Simon and Chloe for a ride! They had a blast!!

Sorry this one is sideways, and I didn't have the patience to reload it. Anyway ~ Cameron is such a sweetie! He's so soft spoken! I just love him! He came up to me while I was watching everyone on the go-kart, and asked if I would watch him skateboard down the driveway ~ and I could take some pictures too! :)

This chair was the perfect size for Talon! :)
After we left my dad's we stopped at Great Grandma's house. She's about an hour away from my dad. (closer to home) We didn't tell her that we were coming, so she was very suprised!! We visited for a little while and then were on our way home!!!
We got home about 10:30 on New Year's Eve. We watched New York ring in the New Year, and then we went to bed. I think that is the first New Year's Eve that I didn't stay up until at least Midnight. It felt so good to be in our own bed though. I'll post more soon! (Hopefully) ;)

A quick update...
I can't believe it's been almost a month since my last post. A lot has been going on in ours lives, and it's only about to get more hectic, so I thought I'd update now.
A couple of Saturday's ago, Ryan and I (O.K., mostly me) decided to build a gingerbread house with the kids. Ryan helped, which was awesome, cause I don't have much patience for this kind of thing. It turned out o.k.

Here are all the kids with the finished product.

This is Chloe's gingerbread girl. We did not promote the two pink gumdrops. Those are her "shirt!" :)

Here's the finished product ~ notice the windows on the roof. Yeah, I screwed up and thought those were the side pieces, only to find out that they were the roof. Oh well ~ we have skylights! :)

And this is basically what Brett wanted to do the whole time ~ he's got a sweet tooth.
These are my images of Owen lately...

He absolutley loves playing "peek-a-boo" between his legs. We do this about 100 times a day!

Let me preface this picture with ~ I allow my kids to jump on their beds. I know, some of you moms probably don't agree with this, but this is the only place they are allowed to jump (no couches, chairs, etc.) without being punished. I figure I'll let them be kids and have a little fun. Anyway, Owen has figured it out already, I took this picture from the stairs going up. Notice the mowhawk ~ Ryan thinks this is cute, and most nights after dinner, after he gets washed up Ryan gives him one. :)
Last, but not least, we took this kids downtown on Friday night to see the lights. We had an awesome time, and awesome weather! The kids LOVED it!!

The windows at Macy's were "Mary Poppins." Chloe just watched this movie with Grandma Betty, so she really got into them.

Here's where the boys were most of the night.

This was an attempt to get a picture of all the kids by the big tree ~ didn't work out so well.

And yet another "attempt" at a family picture...

Chloe LOVES nutcrackers, so when she saw this ~ she went nuts!!
That's all for now. We've got a busy week ahead of us. Christmas tomorrow, Tuesday, we're going to Wisconsin Dells ~ we'll come home Thursday, and then Friday morning, we head out to have Christmas with my dad in Pennsylvania. Lots of time in the car!! Uggggghhhhhh!!!! Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone!!
