Something to ponder...

While reading my Bible (New Living Translation) today, I came across Romans 12:9-31. This is what it reads...

9Don't just pretend that you love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Stand on the side of the good. 10Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other. 11Never be lazy in your work, but serve the Lord enthusiastically.

12Be glad for all God is planning for you. Be patient in trouble, and always be prayerful. 13When God's children are in need, be the one to help them out. And get into the habit of inviting guests home for dinner or, if they need lodging, for the night.

14If people persecute you because you are a Christian, don't curse them; pray that God will bless them. 15When others are happy, be happy with them. If they are sad, share their sorrow. 16Live in harmony with each other. Don't try to act important, but enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don't think you know it all!

17Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable. 18Do your part to live in peace with everyone, as much as possible.

19Dear friends, never avenge yourselves. Leave that to God. For it is written,

"I will take vengeance;
I will repay those who deserve it,"
says the Lord.

20Instead, do what the Scriptures say:

"If your enemies are hungry, feed them.
If they are thirsty, give them something to drink,
and they will be ashamed of what they have done to you."

21Don't let evil get the best of you, but conquer evil by doing good.

Wouldn't we all be better people if we took this advice? Wouldn't the world be a better place if we all lived this way? Think about it...

It's Picture Day...

I decided that since Blogger was being nice to me and I'm able to load my pictures fairly easy, I thought I should post some random pictures that don't have much of a story behind them. Enjoy!!!

Ryan and I took the kids to the fair this year. Brett had never been on a roller coaster before. This was his look pretty much the whole time ~ Chloes too! :)

Owen's first taste of watermelon. He loved it!!!

This spider was actually right outside my back door! It was huge!! Of course I had to get a picture of it.

For about and hour this was our new "play-pen." I put cups and stuff in there, and he absolutely loved it! Until he fell out of it. Oops!! :)

I think this picture is so cute. It's of Chloe's "baby's." She got out some kitchen towels, and wrapped them all up so they could go to sleep.

My little cowboy...

So for Owen's birthday party this year, we are going to do a cowboy theme. My sister is making these AWESOME invites for me, but I needed to capture a picture of Owen all cute and "cowboy" like. So I get out the overalls, and hat and such, and this is what I came up with...

O.K. ~ So I'm really not going to use this one, but isn't it crazy!?!? He never pulls this kind of face, and I happened to get it on camera. He looks like that "baby" on the Gierczyk billboards. Has anyone ever seen them? I see them on the way to Michigan alot. Anyway ~ Here are a few of the other options...

He's done it again...

NO ~ Brett has not pooped on the floor again - I've learned my lesson.

Owen has slept through the night! 4 maybe 5 consecutive nights in a row!! I was leary about posting, because I'm sure it will jinx me, but I'm just so excited! I didn't do anything. He just started doing it! I'm so thankful, because I really didn't want to let him cry it out ~ at all! I'm so much different with him.

Anyway - he's sleeping good now, and so am I! YIPPEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
