Showers of love

The kids love to take showers. Together, separately, whatever - they just love them!

Last night after dinner, I threw them all in the shower. I love to sit on the couch in my room and just listen to their little conversations. So sweet!

This is how last nights conversation went:

Brett: Chloe, I want to grow up fast!

Chloe: I don't.

Brett: Why not?

Chloe: Cause then we don't get to live with mom and dad anymore. We have to get married and then have babies! (They then proceed to talk about how bellies look when there is a baby in them! :) )

Brett: Chloe, MARRY ME, MARRY ME!!

Chloe: No, I can't marry you, because we aren't allowed to marry cousins! :D

Brett: Oh yeah.

I love this kind of innocent talk. There are days that I want them to "grow up fast." Days that I just am tired and worn out. But at the end of the day, I want them to stay just like this, and live with me and their dad forever and ever.

Booby Trap!!!

Last night we had Ryan's family over to celebrate his birthday. My boys and their cousin Timmy created a little booby trap at the top of the stairs...

Daddy got "stuck" and then Brett had to demonstrate exactly how we were supposed to get down the stairs! :)

This morning before the 6 o'clock hour, Brett was awake, and adding more to the booby trap. It went down the stairs, and wrapped around every door knob. He was really into it! :)

Brett and Chloe were discussing how they were going to create an even bigger trap when she got home from school - ummmm...I'm not so sure about that one!

Happy Birthday Ryan!!

You add a level of love and fun that cannot be replaced in this family!! I love you with all my heart!!

He finally got it!

On days that Chloe is at school, I like to keep Brett awake from his nap. Their are days that I put him down, but most days I keep him awake. The time that Owen sleeps is a great time for me and Brett to color, watch a movie, play games, etc. It's just great one-on-one time for us. I figure that he's never really going to get much one-on-one time like Chloe got when she was the only child for a time, and like Owen will get when both Chloe and Brett are in school.

Each day, he'll ask me if he "can stay downstairs" during nap time. Almost everyday, I'd wink at him and say no he couldn't stay downstairs. Almost everyday, he'd get upset that he couldn't stay downstairs, until I'd whisper in his ear that he could and that it was our secret!

Yesterday, Brett asked if he could stay downstairs, and again, I winked and said "no." He got a huge grin on his face and said "o.k. mom." I knew he finally got it! It's fun to have this little secret between one another. Thankfully, Owen hasn't figured it out yet!

My little dutch girl...

Chloe had a program at school called Around the World in Song. Each class was a different country. Chloe's class just happened to be the Netherlands! :) She looked so cute in her little paper dutch hat! :)

Here's a video of her class singing Baa Baa Black Sheep in Dutch! (Chloe is on the second row up, and the second from the right)

I'm gonna get my act together

My camera came back to life. No really, I charged up the batteries (again) and put them in, and it worked! I was just thrilled! :) So, because I like to post videos and pics on my posts, I'm hoping to get my act together! :)

I caught the boys singing with this little stuffed animal that Owen got from his Great Grandma for his birthday. I just had to get it on tape! Take a look...

I love these boys!!:)
