The Rehearsal and Flowers!!!!

On Friday night, we had the Rehearsal for the wedding. It was at a beautiful Country Club, and the food was AWESOME!!!

Here's some pictures from the night...

A picture of Mom and the sisters

And, of course, a picture of the Bride and Groom to-be! :) Aren't they the cutest couple?!

Every time we get together we try to get a picture of just the sisters!

After the rehearsal, we ran to Wal-Mart, because Melissa forgot to get a Unity Candle! :) Leanne, Mel and I actually had a load of fun doing it, so it wasn't a problem at all! After that, we had to go to my sisters house to make the flowers for the wedding! You should have seen her bedroom! It was filled with flowers!!!

This is a picture of her closet - I think we actually took some out of here, before I took the picture! :)

I don't remember exactly how many flowers there were, but we had to make 6 bridesmaids bouquets, and one for Melissa, also 12 center pieces for the reception. We had so much fun doing it, and I think it made for a great memory for Melissa! She was there helping us, I just didn't get any pictures of her!:)

My nephew Travis was so sweet. He helped out anyway he could - even if it was just holding flowers for a minute!:)

Here are the two maids of honor helping out !;) Rachel, and my niece, Lauren.

We did flowers until almost 1:30 a.m. It was totally fun to be involved and helping though! Melanie and I love this kind of stuff, so we had a blast!

A little teaser...

O.K., so I don't have much time to post pictures, and talk about the rehearsal/wedding, because we are headed for a day on the beach!!!;D For now though, I'll just post a couple of pictures, just so you could see how my baby girl looked!

They did so good walking down the aisle!! (And they looked so cute too! :))

Having a great time...

Well, we haven't done a whole lot...yet! It's gonna get busy here in the next couple of days, as more family will be arriving, and more activities are planned, so I'll just start with the beginning of the trip, for now.

Tuesday night, my mom, Chloe and I all went to go get pedicures!! AAAAhhhhhhhh! It was heavenly! Chloe's never had a pedicure before, and she loved it - except for when it tickled her feet!

Chloe's feet barely reached the water! ;D

And like I said, it tickled her feet a little bit!

Grandma, on the other hand, LOVED it! She just about fell asleep!

Here she is waiting for us to board the plane.

Chloe and Grandma on the plane.

This picture does not do justice to how excited Chloe was at take-off. She loved every bit of it!:D Me - not.so.much!!! (I hate flying!!!)

Chloe played games on my computer for about an hour of the flight, and then my mom and me had to play Family Feud! :)

We went to T.G.I. Fridays for dinner, and they had a balloon maker coming to each table - he was pretty good!

Chloe got a penguin, and Lauren...

had him down on one knee!:D

That's it for now! Gonna go sit by the pool for a bit!

WE'RE HERE!!!!

Well, we have arrived safe and sound in Sunny Florida. The plane ride was pretty uneventful, unless you want to call my mom and me getting too excited playing Family Feud on my computer!;D

Chloe loved the plane ride! She's only been on one once, but she was only 11 months old then, so doesn't remember it. I've got some fun pictures to share, but for now, we're off to get a little swim time in, and then off to dinner with my sister! ;) I'll post more tonight!

How does one person do it all?

As I was sitting watching my boys ride their bikes this morning, I was wondering how I'm going to get everything that needs to be done, done. I seriously have SO much to do!

Let see, I decided yesterday to clean out the boys closet and dressers, however, didn't get it finished, so I was left with mounds of clothes in the middle of their room - for which I am very thankful for, because we got lots of hand-me-downs that are going to be put to good use! : )

I leave for Florida in exactly 8 days!!!!! No, that's no huge task, but deciding to throw a birthday party the Friday before we leave is, so I've got that to plan/shop for! I've also got to pack for the trip to Florida. Clean my house for the party, on top of just everyday duties - I'm not going to list them, because we all know to well what they are! ; ) And while I'd love to sit outside with them, I can't help but think of everything that needs to get done. Hey - at least the lawn got mowed this morning...

I don't want it to sound like I'm complaining, because really, I'm not. It's just so hard to get everything done when all my boys want to do is go outside and play. Besides I really can't complain, because these two wonderful little boys get to stay with Grandma and Grandpa while I take a nice relaxing trip to Florida - could it get any better than that?!?*

*Chloe is in my niece's wedding, so we decided to just leave the boys home so that Ryan and I could really enjoy all of the festivities together, instead of one of us watching the boys, and one of us being with Chloe. I think it's really go to work out good, and I'm even going to bring my computer and "try" to update this blog every night! We'll see how that goes...

It's been a long time

I know that it's been a long time since I've last done a post, but we have just been so super busy! And it doesn't seem to be slowing down any time soon!

We've hit a couple of milestones in the last week or so, so I'll be telling you about those shortly. For now, I'm going to bed - I'm so tired!

This is what being a mom is all about...

For awhile now, I've been writing a blog in my head about what being a mom entails - for my family anyway. I haven't had the time to put it all together, but it would have included stuff such as:

  • Being a mom, means you have to turn right out of the subdivision every time we go somewhere, just so we could drive past the firehouse to see if the garage doors are open. (Even though, nine times out of ten, it's out of my way, and no - the garage doors are not open.)
  • Being a mom means, you sacrifice the last pancake at breakfast, because someone else is "SO HUNGRY!!!!"
  • Being a mom means, you sit and read books upon books to the kids, even though you know that you should be doing something a bit more productive -like, say LAUNDRY!
  • Being a mom means, you push the kids on the swings for what seems like hours and hours.
  • Being a mom means, you wipe countless amounts of bums in your lifetime!:)
This list doesn't include everything, but it's definitely a start! :) But for today, what being a mom meant for me, was sitting watching the town workers dig up a dead tree, and then turn it into mulch. Yep, we were on our way home from bringing Chloe to school, and the boys saw the big tractor pulling the tree out. So what do you know, I turn around and sat there for well over 1/2 hour to see this tree get turned into mulch, and the boys loved every minute of it!

It doesn't take much to make these kids happy, and, in the end, if it makes them happy - Mommy's happy! :)
